BA English

​

Bachelor of Arts in English is a three year course. It is an excellent preparation for careers in teaching, media, and advertising, writing, and publishing; for graduate or professional studies in English, communications, or law; and for advancement in any field in which communication skills are important. It deals in literary analysis, Prose, and Poetry, written and oral communication skills and related disciplines. It provides a strong background in the study of English. The BA in English program stresses diversity, literary analysis, written and oral communication skills critical thinking and through a rigorous curriculum of literature, composition, language and linguistics, and communication studies. Students interested in creative writing may choose the concentration in creative Writing.

Department Highlights

• We conducted English Language Teaching Conference in 2012 with chief guest Dr. Peruvazhuthi, Associate Professor of English , Thiruvannamalai.

• Literary Association of English was formed and conducted poetry recitation under the topic "CREATIVE WRITING" on 9th Feb, 2015.

• Literary Association of English conducted QUIZ PROGRAM in 2017.

• Our students participated in NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CULTURAL AWARNESS IN LANGUAGE AND  LITERATURE  and presented seminar paper in SOCIAL MEDIA on 29th Sep 2018.
